Strategic Planning Workshop for DMHE

The Carmelite Missionaries Philanthropic Development Office (CM-PDO) organized a strategic planning workshop for the Divine Mercy Home for the Elderly (DMHE) in Brgy. Bagtic, Silay City, Negros Occidental. It was facilitated by Spring Rain Global, Inc. and attended by eleven CM sisters and one Carmelite Missionaries Secular (CMS). It was held last November 21-23, 2023, at Mater Carmeli Ladies Home in Bacolod City, after which an action plan was drafted, the vision mission formulated, and the core values identified. Its vision, “The Divine Mercy Home for the Elderly envisions a home where the love and mercy of God and neighbor reign” and its mission, “The DMHE believes that every elderly deserves a dignified life. However, a growing number of elderly are living in poverty, abandoned, abused, lonely, and spiritually neglected. Thus, we offer a home where access to basic needs, health care, and spiritual accompaniment are provided. With love, passion and perseverance, we commit to make every elderly experience mercy and fullness of life.” Its core values are Prayer, Love, Mercy, Compassion, Generosity, Joyful Service, Communion and Marian.
